Next Steps

Thank you for wanting to know more about the next steps you might want to consider.

To figure out whether we have a good fit between your needs and my services, my general practice is to have one or two exploratory conversations, provided to you gratis, as you help me understand what’s going on in your financial world and I help you understand how I might be of service to you, after which you can make a well-informed decision about whether to hire me or not.

Broken down into more detail, that looks like so:

The next step: the getting-to-know-you process
If you’re intrigued by what you’ve seen in here and want to explore what it would be like working with me, then the next step is for us to enter into a getting-to-know-you process, during which I’ll help you truly take my measure and help you understand the services I offer, and during which we can jointly determine whether there’s a good fit between your needs and the services I provide.

Starting the process: a short phone call
A typical first step in the getting-to-know-you process is to have a short chat on the phone – usually lasting twenty to thirty minutes. That’ll allow us to get our joint bearings together; from there we can figure out appropriate next steps and what, if any, materials you’d like to receive from me to supplement the information on this site.

The heart of the process: a getting-to-know-you meeting
For most folks, we follow that initial phone call with a full-blown Getting-to-Know-You Meeting, which usually lasts about 90 minutes (sometimes more).

Importantly, all of these initial conversations are best done come-as-you-are, so I generally recommend that you not do anything out of the ordinary – nada, zip – to prepare ahead of time for calling me up. Nice, eh?

Also, since all of these conversations are exploratory in nature, they come to you 100% gratis. Then, if we are going to work together, we’ll sign a contract and our obligations to one another will start flowing at that time.

So please do call: I am usually easy to reach.
If you have to leave a voice mail for me, I’ll get back to you shortly and, if your timing is fortuitous, it might be possible to have something akin to a full-blown Getting-to-Know-You Meeting right then and there. It wouldn’t be the first time . . .

Thanks again for your interest.
